Chorizo Broccoli Quiche

Our friend Chaz is a chef. Each week he has to invent a new flavour of quiche for the restaurant where he works.. I give him a lot of suggestions, and mostly he laughs.Chorizo Broccoli Quiche
1 sheet frozen puff pastry
1 chorizo sausage, thinly sliced
2 cups broccoli, finely chopped
4 eggs
3/4 Cup of milk
1/2 Cup grated cheese
Preheat the oven to 180. Leave the puff pastry on the bench to defrost. When it's soft, use the pastry to line a pie dish (or a shallow casserole dish). Put the broccoli in the dish, with the chorizo on top. Sprinkle the cheese over everything. Whisk together the eggs and milk, season to taste (you don't need much salt with the chorizo), then pour into the dish. You may need to press down the filling so it all gets covered. Cook in the oven until set and slightly browned on top.

I'm not usually a big fan of quiche, but this looks really good to me. Maybe it's the chorizo. Or the broccoli.

I went out and purchased most of these ingredients. You say use cheese but dont mention what kind. What kind did you use in your recipe? How many servings does this make?

Approximately how much in measurement of the chorizo should I use.

Thanks!

What kind of cheese did you use?

I use tasty cheese - if you're not australian that means a sharpish cheddar - but any cheese would do. Pick your favourite!
This makes approximately four large servings. And the chorizo sausages I use are slightly larger than 200g. But I'm guessing. I hope that helps.

Kazari,

Thanks so much for the insight abot the cheese. Im assuming when you say grated you mean to use a hand grater? Im going to make this as soon as I hear back from you. Looking forward to it!
